This is the close up look at how easy it will be for this rivet to rub the spar. I think I am going to carefully grind the back down a bit since the rivet isn't structural. I'll post a finished pic after my surgery.
The top rivet on the splice strip is located just on top of the tapered sction of the main spar. As you will see in the next photo, I am concerned with how close the shop head of the rivet is to this material. I can see this being an issue.
This blog is going to be a little different from most of the amateur built aircraft web sites.
There are many RV10 builder sites out there that are very detailed with tons of good technical information.
My site is going to take a different approach. I am going to document the construction process with real time uploads from my iPhone.
